Apple Next Phone

Up until 1977 there was only ‘one apple’ that most people across the globe knew. But the monopoly was broken in 1977 when a technology startup company was incorporated as Apple Inc. Though it was a developmental stage company for a decade or so, it was not too long before it started to grab the headlines for unveiling groundbreaking and revolutionary products. Yes with radical tech gadgets such as the iPod, iPhone, and iPad in the product portfolio, which collectively generate plentiful worldwide revenue for the company. Managed by astute leaders who oversee the development of one-of-a-kind products, Apple has become the most celebrated technology brand in the world.

With more than 400,000 Facebook followers and more than a million fanatic and loyal customers waiting to own any of the company’s products, Apple has transformed into a savvy technology company and an opportune financial enterprise. The one major sector that has benefitted from Apple’s rise to fame is the media industry. A vindication to this statement is the fact that any news published and broadcasted on the subject of Apple and its products is read and viewed by millions of avid followers. A recent example of this fanatism is the rumors and speculations surrounding the launch of the next iPhone model that is speculated to be named iPhone 5.

For the past couple years, even before the launch of the iPhone 4S, Google reported that it had processed more than half a million search queries related to iPhone 5. When is the iPhone 5 scheduled to release? This is the million-dollar question circulating in the media currently. Certain media sources report that the much expected phone model is expected to release sometime in September or October. Based on media reports, we can certainly predict the supposed features of the much-hyped phone.

  • The next iPhone is certain to have a performance boost largely due to the successful A5 processor incorporated in the iPad 2. Much of iPad 2’s success is attributed to the A5 processor’s speed and reliability.
  • My top prediction is that iPhone 5 will have an improved camera resolution for the front and rear cameras. It could probably be 8-megapixel for the rear camera and 2 megapixels for the front camera. This prediction is based on the fact that iPhone 5’s direct rival the Samsung’s S III boasts an 8 megapixel rear and 1.9 megapixel front camera.
  • The iPhone 5 could be competitively priced, thereby making it cheaper than the previous iPhone models. This assertion is based on the fact that the company’s CEO Time Cook wants the phone to be affordable to all. Another base to this prediction is that the company has been reducing its software prices, evident in the price cuts to the Final Cut Pro X and OS X Mountain Lion.
  • Media reports also conform to the rumor that this time around Apple will try to change the materials it uses for the exterior of the phone. It is predicted that Apple could consider using metal for the back of the phone rather than previously used glass.

At this juncture, all that we can do is chew over these predictions, and wait patiently until we hear it from the horse’s mouth.
